Lovely place. Did anyone ever see the Carlsberg commerical that used this very same spot with a Carlsberg truck parked infront of the church?
Boddin on July 18 2007 06:48:21
Oui!
Laluu on July 23 2007 18:45:27
I thought the Carlsberg ad was taken from the other side. I.e. the cameraman standing where you drive into Saksun and then the Carlsberg lorry driving from left to right. The problem would of course be, that the place the lorry was coming from is a dead end, so it would have been delivering beer to a field somewhere.

Would be cool if someone was able to dig out the old picture. I remember the ads well. One was from the Red Square in Moscow, one was from the Great Wall in China and one was in Saksun.

I can't seem to find that carlsberg picture anywhere online. Probably since I can't remember anything other than it was a picture from saksun.

It definitely wasn't this angle as the truck was seen from the side. As I recall it, the church wasn't in the picture. Cant' find the image either.

Nice catch, but not the commercial I had in my mind. But great to see that one!
