With all the talk about pulling out of Iraq and progress reports, benchmarks and so on and so forth, this article struck a chord with me.
In the midst of the giant clusterfuck that is Iraq, people are being stoned to death for falling in love. It sickens me to live in a world where such abuse is tolerated.

There is nothing I or anyone else can say that hasen't allready gone through the mind of those of us that have read this article. It is just horrible that such acts of barbarism and ignorance still occur today in our presumably "civilized" world. "6 months in prison" give me a break, if it was up to me, the persons that did this should be put in jail for life.

It's unbelievable that people can stand idly and watch the slaughter of a 17 year old "innocent girl". It just tells me that these people live in a fucked up country and culture.
