Sum tann eini læknin hjá mær á Ríkinum segði, tað er ikki spurningurin UM tú fær kreft, bert NÆR tú fær kreft. Øll hava latentar (hvílandi) kreftcellur í sær. Tíbetur doyggja flestu fólk av øðrum orsøkum (m.a. av elli!), áðrenn kreftin slær út hjá teimum.

Meira man veit, minni veit man, segði onkur einaferð (Roffensa forvrengning av Einstein/Socrates, vel sjálvur)

Tað eru so nógvur "ónatúrligur" kostur í dag, kroppurin er ikki gjørdur til at håndtera alt hetta, so eg eri púra einigur í ekspertinum, tá hann sigur, at tað bara er ein spurningur um tíð, nær man fær tað. (við ónatúrligur meini eg sjálvandi í mun til tað, sum menniskja genetisk er uppælt við gjøgnum tíðirnir f.eks. genmodifikatión v.m.)

Eg gav hesum innlegginum "-", tí eg haldi ikki at tað er nakað "simple math" og tað er at spæla uppá følilsini hjá fólki at spæla spook, og tann parturin irriterar meg.

From the authors of the study:

Getting cancer could be compared to getting into a car accident. Our results would be equivalent to showing a high correlation between length of trip and getting into an accident. Regardless of the destination, the longer the trip is, the higher the risk of an accident.

...

We emphasize that no single factor causes cancer. Some have misunderstood our research to say that two-thirds of cancer cases are due to bad luck. We want to stress that cancer is caused by a combination of many factors.
