This has to be a good thing though, basically. Machines producing value, so humans don't have to. Just like the agricultural revolution, this must, in the end, be beneficial to humans. We just have to figure out how to create a society that works under such circumstances, and watch out for Musks' Terminator scenario.

Well if the owners of the machines don't want to give us anything, there will be no basic income. Everyone will be out of a job, apart from a very small elite sitting behind their machine drone army, feasting on everything in a way that would make Caligula envious |

Well, luckily we still have democracy in some parts of the world, where the elite doesn't get to decide everything. In any case, if societies become too unequal, there's always the ptchforks |
