I think I've posted this before, but I can't find it. I think I did.
These are tailored suits, great quality, especially for the price, free global shipping and free modifications(!), should they be necessary.
You do the measurements yourself, or with the help of a friend. It's quite possible to do it yourself (remember, measure twice, just in case). If in doubt which suit to pick, the Essential Charcoal Suit is a good all-round first suit. If you have any questions, feel free to call me.
Right now, as in until 6 AM tomorrow morning Dec 3, you get 20% off for orders over $600. A suit and a couple shirts will be enough. Sales are rare, so this is a good opportunity.
This comes highly recommended by Norlander and myself, and we can vouch for the quality. Unless you have perfectly standard body dimensions, an off-the-rack suit simply will not do. And I don't think any of us have standard body dimensions...

Suitopia seems very similar to Indochino. I would say the difference is that Indochino seems more exclusive; they focus on 'designed' suits, rather than 'standard' suits, any modifications are included in the price instead of as premium add-ons, and Suitopia's 'wool' fabric is actually a 30-35% blend rather than 100% wool as Indochino's. The most exclusive suits are 100% wool, as this has the best feel and looks the best (which usually is the purpose of the suit). Wool is also warm in the winter and breathes in the summer. However, blending the wool with e.g. polyester can make the suit more wrinkle-resistant and durable, which is preferred for performance suits (i.e. suits for work). This tends to make them shiny and cheap-looking, though. Blends can also make the suit lighter, and thus preferable in the summer, although the wool percentage should still be high, as wool breathes better than polyester and similar replacements.
That being said, Suitopia is slightly cheaper, even with the premium add-ons, and according to the reviews I've seen, the quality of the tailoring is on par with Indochino. I think you'll be happy with your suit, and I'm sure the quality will be great. When you get the suit, go to a tailor, and have him/her check out the fit and make alterations if necessary (I would recommend you do this with Indochino suits as well. Suitopia offers free modifications, like Indochino).
I want to add one more thing though: Suitopia doesn't offer tailored shirts as Indochino does. Tailored shirts are a revelation! I tend to look like I'm either about to rip the buttons on my chest or like I'm in a shapeless bag. Tailored shirts make me look like the shirts were made just for me (which they were).

have been thinking about ordering a suit for a while. But you know I do fit an off-the-rack suit perfectly it´s easier but more expansive.
I got a tailored suit when i was in Nepal, it was very nice perfect fit and it only cost me 75£ |

I have no hope of fitting into an off-the-rack suit. My arms and legs are short, and my chest is wide. I sometimes find it hard to even find casual clothing that fits well, and suits need to fit more or less perfectly, otherwise they just look wrong. That's actually the reason why I've been avoiding suits for so long; they just looked weird on me. I got a blazer for my graduation from Hoydalar, and even got it modified by a tailor to fit me better. Still looked wrong. I don't have a photo of that handy right now, I'm afraid. |

Of course. Different fabrics for different purposes. Indochino have (had) linen suits for extra lightness and breathability in the summer, performance suit blends, etc. They have also experimented with nanotech coating for a water repelling finish. But those are all special versions; I was talking about the classic suit. |

My biggest worry about Indochina is, that the measurements are in feet, inches, pounds and so forth.
I'm not totally sure about the conversion, so I'm a bit sceptical about the final outcome vs. the amount of money the suits cost. |

Didn't have a problem with the measurement, hit up vuzman before he leaves for CPH, and he'll guide you through that.
My personal experience has been nothing but good, and I'm going to buy another suit from them when my paycheck comes at the end of January. Also, probably relevant for you in particular, when I was at Konservativ Folkepartis parties "Landsråd" this autumn I actually got positive comments about my suit from my 3 tablemates - a retired CEO, a retired employer association leader and his wife. Considering the clientele there I'd say it would be hard to achieve that with a suit under DKK 6000 - and I did it for under $500. Not that I dressed with the goal to receive platitudes.
Two reviews of Indochino, both quite long so I've posted the salient point:
1:Being able to buy a suit that is cut and sewn pretty close to your body’s measurements, and on which you can choose your own details regarding lapel style, button configuration, vent and pocket style, lining, etc., and all for $429 with free shipping is a proposition that I would not necessarily expect that much from. But the suit I received from Indochino far surpassed my expectations and is now happily my go-to navy double breasted suit. And that’s key. If you’re used to wearing higher-end suiting and think Indochino is going to deliver something comparable to Canali, PRL, or Samuelsohn, and for one-half to one-third the price, then you’ll be sorely disappointed. But if you’re a person of modest means, and you want a serviceable suit that will make you look better than you feel (especially with regard to your non-baller status, because then you’d be wearing Kiton and Attolini…), then I think Indochino is a solid option. As an additional note, I think this is especially true if you are of a body type that off-the-rack suiting doesn’t fit that well, be you overly-thin or overweight.
2:Readers will have to keep something in mind; when you go to Indochino you are getting a skinny, fashion-forward suit like you might find on the pages of GQ or Details. This is not bargain-basement Brioni, and if you are looking for classic proportions according to "whnay's good taste" thread then you are looking in the wrong place. However I think it is good to have a point of view and to be very direct about it; there is too much half-baked clothing on the market which tries to be everything to everybody and thus fails in most things. |

Tape measures usually have cm on one side and inches on the other, so measuring directly in inches shouldn't be a problem.
You could also get the tailor´s kit from Indochino. It's $29, but if you buy a suit, it will be discounted those $29. The kit includes fabric samples and two tape measures. Ships free, as usual. |

Yup. I recently checked some of the latest reviews to see if maybe their quality had slipped over the years, but the reviews are still great.
They do have sales all the time, so you probably don't want to buy a suit from them for full price.
