I really don't see anything remarkable about what he did here. I guess it is because I have for some reason decided that power obligates. I expect people who have the power to do good in this world to do it of themselves, without the need for media attention and my praise. I would have expected any decent person in Steves situation, with his means, to do the same or more.

That many people with means in his situaiton would not have done anything, is also true. These people who deserve our displeasure and scorn. Steve merely did what any human being with empathy and power should do.

It would have been awesome if it didn't take a liver faliure for him to act.

Are you an organ donor?
Grizlas on April 22 2010 04:37:18
Sure, what do you need?
Grizlas on April 22 2010 09:20:52
Ok I'll play..

I am an organ donor, but I do not think that it's relevant here.

If you absolutely want to compare being an organ donor to this case, the equivalent would be to consider Steve Jobs awesome if he decided to become an organ donor after first having received a liver from someone. Surely this gesture is only slightly above hipocrisy and not something worthy of being awesome.
