I always like the stories about the freak waves, simply because it's a case of seaman's tales that actually were true (we often scoff at the giant kraken and etc., but 30-40 years ago people did the same with this).
I thought we had a thread somewhere about this already, but turns out we don't. Probably something we talked and mailed about before gongumenn came to being.

I remember we talked about this, and that you told me there was some research going on that had found evidence. That's why I posted the link.
I see your point about the stories. Guess we sceptics have to remember that every once in a while there is something unlikely that turns out to be true nonetheless.
