This song has been a staple on the playlists of a few of us for quite some time. Have you not heard it, eg. at Norlander's place?

It was a stab at you, and the others who got outraged by that post (online & offline). I think you guys are being just a tad too hipstersnobbish about music. Supergirl was a minor hit in Germany, and not really anywhere else; it's not weird that Jones hasn't heard it before, and it doesn't make him a bad person. Actually, this cover, from 2015, was a bigger hit than the original, both in Germany and other countries, and I bet you hadn't heard it before (unless you too have seen the wikipedia page):

Well, then you need to aim more precisely, the "I listen to bands that don't even exist yet" line was way off the mark for a song that is more than 15 years old.

I don't know why you talk about outrage, who was outraged? I was just pointing out that this song has made it's rounds in our group for the last 10+ years. It is weird that OKJones hasn't heard the song before (and that also makes him a bad person).

And you just lost the bet, I had heard the remix before. What did I win?

Oh, I'm sure you've heard the cover before, just like Norlander listened to the original in the 90's, even though it was released in 2000

It really isn't that weird that Jones hasn't heard it before;
A. he probably has, but didn't notice it, and
B. he was busy with gf and kids at the time.

At least we can all agree that OKJones is a bad person. I just don't think this is the reason.

Just adding my 2 cents:

I agree with Torellion and Norlander, that it is weird that OKJones didn't remember that song. It was on heavy rotation in Norlander's crib in 2008/2009, when we used to hang, play PES etc.

@Vuz, you didn't hang out with us in FO when the song was popular. You have no idea of how much the song got played or who heard it. You are out of your element, so let it go...
