Great cover. I rarely get moved by female voices.
This one by Charles Bradley isn't bad.

Was in a discussion with someone about good and bad music, my theory is that even if you don't like the particular genre, good songwriters make songs that can be covered in your favorite genre, and then sound amazing...

And another one! You all know I fucking love Mark Knopfler and nothing compares to his original work, this is a decent homage.

The Ihsahn/Solberg song is good. But I can't put my finger on why I don't like it as much as I think I should.
But how's this for one of the most covered songs ever?
She totally owns it.

Many years ago when I was in San Fran a guy I traveled with made a point of going to the dock of the Bay and we sat there dangling our feet. Talking about our travels, project, and the wonderful Bay in front of us. Ever since then this song has a special meaning to me. Always listened to the original Otis Redding version, but came across this one now, and its impressive.

I don't know if everyone has seen it, but I loved Stranger Things, season 4, episode 4. (No spoilers ahead, btw). Anyways, I spent some time searching for a good cover of "Running up that Hill" and found these two ladies nailing it:

I like this a lot, I really do.
..but I have some gripes!
In my opinion, drums are an essential part of this song - much more so than the base. I'd rather have the base guy sitting with some bongo drums than a base guitar. I mean if you go full acoustic that's one thing, but when you bring in a non-acoustic instrument like a base, I'm really going to miss the drums in songs like this one.
And while the vocals are really brilliant, it annoys me that they sing "I bless the rains down in Africa" on the same note, in stead of how it is in the original recording. They clearly have the voices to sing it properly, so it's just annoying that they don't.
These guys get everything right apart from the vocals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ6yr_gDbFc Now if I could get the vocals from your video together with the instruments from this one, I would be happy
Although Mike and Jeff clearly have amazing voices, I do detect some amount of Autotune in this video. So a bit of cheating if we are going for accoustic I suppse.

Yeah they sing well, but they don't really add anything to the song. Why wouldn't you just listen to the original. This is just worse in every aspect, same with the one Grizlas mentioned although a bit more interesting.

I love everything this woman does, but this one is just fantastic. It just builds so well.
Sound setup is also pro, which makes a big difference
