Black Sabbath probably were on speed or something like that. This song reminded me of paranoid and snowblind. And that singer reminds me of someone, I just can't put my finger on who. Anyway, I like it smiley

Not bad!
I agree that it is reminiscent of Black Sabbath's Paranoid.

However, there is also something, especially about the singer, that reminds me of The Cult (famous for e.g. She Sells Sanctuary)
-maybe that's what OKJones was thinking about

A couple of days ago, I suddenly had the urge to hear some A Perfect Circle. So on youtube I went (didn't have any cds with me).

It's all good, but this song is a nice introduction to the music. The themes to their songs seem to be things like religion, war, injustice, dishonesty, drugs etc.

A Perfect Circle - Passive

While listening to APC, I noticed some posters referring to Puscifer. Could it really be true - yet more stuff with Maynard? Yep. Puscifer is his little side project that he runs from time to time, and they had a big tour in the States this winter.

This song is apparently from the "Ultraviolet" soundtrack and features Milla Jovovic as guest vocalist.

Puscifer - The Mission

For something different and weird - check out Puscifer's song "Country Boner" from circa 1999.

I remember having a lot of fun listening to these guys back in school. They were undercover at the time cause they didn't want trouble with the man, but later they found out that Metallica were actually fans of their music. Lars helped them with their legal issues with Sony/ATV (who own the rights to Beatles' music), and they released a proper album in 2007.

Now Pink Floyd everyone knows, and Marooned everyone should know but just maybe you don't. This is an awesome tune and as someone pointed out in the comments section on this youtube clip, if you have it on mute it looks like some random Elderly man having convulsions while trying to get a guitar to work. Not that you should have it on mute though.

Just noticed that this is the most played song on my winamp even if it's not been there for more than a year.

Blind Guardian recently released a new album. Maybe you know, but it was news to me. The album can be found on Spotify and Grooveshark.

Here's some samples from the album:

"You're the Voice" is a B-side and is not on the album. But yeah, not worth mentioning. Have heard the album once now, and I have to say it is very reminiscent of the 90's 'golden age' Blind Guardian. Some old-school power metal in there too. I will have to listen to it a few more times before I pass judgment on it though.

John Lord being the most awesome of keyboard players best known for his time with Deep Purple. John wrote the music but didn't sing it obviously.

I came across an article today on the death of reggae singer Gregory Isaacs. For many people he's most famous for this song being used in tv adverts for a flu-drug called Night Nurse.

Gregory Isaacs - Night Nurse

I decided to listen to some of the song that people commenting on his death recommended. And it's pretty good stuff. I'm not a huge reggae-fan, but the quality of this stuff is good, and quite varied (surprisingly).
I'll post some songs as links rather than embed to save space.
