A few times I've been asked what service/site to use to convert youtube to mp3 songs. There are a lot of options, some include downloading software, others free sites.
I've used http://www.vidtomp3.com/ and http://www.video2mp3.net/, which make the song into a regular 128 kbit mp3 file without hassle.
Sadly I lack a good suitable option to make it into 192 kbit, which should be possible on high-definition audio tracks.

Just so we're clear, it's easier and better to find the music elsewhere, so use YouTube as a last resort. Quality on YouTube is usually poor quality. Actually, the FLV (Flash) streams are either 64 kbps mono (this was the only option until 2008) or 128 kbps. MP4 streams are 96 or 152 kbps, and WebM streams (HTML5 beta only) are 128 or 192 kbps.
This means that the best you can hope for is 152 kbps, and this is only used for the HD-videos (720 and up). So 192 kbps doesn't make sense.
Additionally, only the 64 kbps mono stream is in MP3 format, the rest is in AAC (Vorbis for WebM).
This means that if you got an MP3 file from YouTube, it has most likely been transcoded (lossy process) twice, and it is quite probable that this transcoding has happened not only between bitrates, sampling rate, and/or channels, but also between formats (even lossier).
And that's just if you rip from the stream directly; recording from your computers sound card (using Freecorder or similar) means an additional decoding/re-encoding step. This is one step away from holding a microphone to your speakers.
I repeat, use YouTube as a last resort.
[EDIT: it seems Freecorder might not use it's sound card recording for YouTube, but may rip from the streams]

Use youtube as the convenient resort, and no it's not easier to find it elsewhere, as basically every song ever made is on Yotube

Ever heard of BitTorrent? I hear there's lots of songs there too...
And it doesn't seem to be easier since you started this support group in order to find the best way to get second-rate rips off YouTube...
If you can search for a song on YouTube, you can search for it on a torrent site just as easily...

No there are several songs in my playlist which do not appear on bittorrent. For instance songs by faroese and norwegian artists.
Youtube is the convenient way. You being too elitists to use it is your prerogative:P
