I can recommend LG screens, I have had two. And they are pretty cheap, nice design and good specs.

Look for Samsung or LG and compare them with other brands.

I bought my Samsung 22" widescreen with my computer 2½ years ago, and I'm very, very happy with it. The model is called "SyncMaster 225BW"

I suppose more or less standard now, but having a large widescreen is excellent if like me, you sometimes use it for translating or editing, since you can have two decent-sized windows side by side.

Look at the specs and buy cheap. They're all made by the same 3-4 plants, regardless of brand.

Buying a big-name brand will at best give you the latest (but also more expensive) displays. Knock-offs will feature last-year's latest technology.

I have a Samsung and a LG. They are both very good, nice resolution, no drag, and excellent value for money.
