Jon Stewart interviews Christopher Hitchens on his new book "God is not Great".

An interesting interview, apart from Hitchens seeming a bit stoned.

I was gonna say that Hitchens always seems to be on some drug, but this was a bit more pronounced than usual. smiley

Sorry, but I don't like Hitchens. He just seems too smug and condescending. And when he is debating he seems to put more energy into irritating his opponent than on the issue.

But I do agree with many of his views.

He's a bit of an oddball I'll give you that. Haven't seen him debating much - except giving the bil mahler audience the finger, which I thought was rather good smiley So often in these talkshows the audience applauds automatically whenever the host says anything - which in stewart's and Mahlers case is usually an oversimplifying and amusing soundbite.

Anyways, I watched this clip and found him to be pretty much on the humanist message. He also seems to think America is the greatest country on earth and supports the Iraq war, making him sound like a hardcore conservative. Quite interesting to watch.
