The assembly line concept was not "invented" at one time by one person, and no one person is the "father" of it. It has been independently redeveloped throughout history based on logic, but anyways Henry Ford popularised it, if that was what you were getting at.

According to wikipedia, which contradicts itself from time to time the answer is Clarence Avery, Peter E. Martin, Charles E. Sorensen, and C.H. Wills
