A: 1990 McDonald'%3Bs Canada opened Moscow-McDonald'%3Bs, the first McDonald'%3Bs restaurant in the Soviet Union, serviced by 27 cash registers and seating 700. This restaurant in Pushkin Square is still the largest McDonald'%3Bs in the world.

Q: Where is the oldest glovefactory in the world, and what is it called?

Think it was 19. january 1990. But being the biggest I'm not sure of. I read somewhere (wiki probably) there is a McD in china that seats over 700. Shouldn't be any surprise there came a bigger along since the one near Pushkin Square is close to eighteen years old.

It was actually January 31, 1990.

My bad for not specifying the criteria to include the date.

Yes, it was. I figured the exact date wasn't important, since it was almost 18 years ago, and there's nothing special about the date (could have been Lenin's birthday or something). Anyway, the point is moo, since I've hijacked the question smiley

Hint: I think every Gonguman has walked past the glovefactory (or a huge hint to its location) several times.

Randers Handskefabrik is the oldest glove factory in Northern Europe (because the ones that were founded earlier have since closed down). That would also make it the oldest one where probably every gonguman has walked past. It was founded in 1811.
It is located on Skindergade - the location of, e.g. some good bookshops.

Is that it, or did you have another one in mind?

It's not on Skindergade, it's right on Strøget (Frederiksberggade 36), close to Rådhuspladsen. Right next to the oldest Shawarmabiks in Denmark, actually, which you can just see on the right in the picture.

It's not the oldest in Northern Europe, it's the only one in Northern Europe. And while the company itself was founded in 1811, the glove makers in Randers stem back to at least 1684, when the glove makers guild was founded with 11 master craftsmen.

The factory itself is in Randers, but you got it.

Alice Cooper is born in 1948
Blackie Lawless is born in 1956
Rob Halford is born in 1956
Bruce Dickenson is born in 1958

The car is a Ford Thunderbird, often called a T-bird.
They started making them in 1955, but I think the one in your picture is slightly later. My guess is 1957.

Sorry about delay. I discovered that the question I intended to ask was useless. I have since been very busy. But here goes:

Hmm. The original attachment didn't work, because it was a bmp. Then I discovered something I had to edit in the jpg. But it should be ok now.

Who is this?
