Name the artist.
I think he's Scottish, but lives in the U.S.
Perhaps more famous as a book illustrator.

@Norlander: You too? What is it with everyone having Turner as their favorite artist? I'm gonna have to find myself a new fav artist

William Shakespeare has signed that picture, and I found a lot of pictures that are similar to this one.

I don't get any hopes up on this one either, since I am pretty sure it's wrong, but hey... if it's not, then I will try again later.

HINTS:

The picture is a silk-screen print (which I own, actually smiley)
It is not signed by Shakespeare himself, but is a caricature of Shakespeare.

The artist has illustrated a few Roald Dahl stories and some editions of Alice in Wonderland and Animal Farm.

What can I say. The Turner exhibition I saw some years ago blew me away. I've seen the special exhibition of Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Renoir, Gaugin and Dali as well as several mixed exhibitions containing a "who's who" of impressionism, expressionism, symbolism as well as fine assortments of Italy's best renaissance artists and none of them had the same impact on me as Turner.

Sorry jogvanth, but no.

Clue: He has worked closely with e.g. Hunter S. Thompson and illustrated his articles and books, such as "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"

I said earlier that I thought he was Scottish, but he is actually English/Welsh

Well done, Lamech.
I got the picture back from the frame-shop yesterday (yay!), so it will grace my wall next time you come round.

Your question!
