Never underestimate the power of the internet!

Somewhat easy question!

What is the name of the city?

Clue 1: Founded by Phoenician colonists.
Clue 2: Destroyed in the 3rd Punic wars.
Clue 3: Resettled by Romans.
Clue 4: Destroyed again by Muslims in the 7th century.
Clue 5: It's being resettled today trough modern day urbanism.

@Roffen: You might want to bookmark this: www.wikipedia.org smiley

@Norlander: San Francisco. I'm guessing you took that picture standing right here:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=3301+Lyon+Street&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=38.690438,82.265625&layer=c&ie=UTF8&om=1&cbll=37.804681,-122.448406&cbp=1,155.95922930064313,0.44852619189542037,1&ll=37.809004,-122.447755&spn=0.009443,0.020084&z=16

EDIT: The Gongumenn parsing engine doesn't like that url, so you have to copy & paste it, sorry.

Btw, the pic is of the Palace of Fine Arts:

"Constructed as a temporary attraction for the 1915 Pan-Pacific International Exhibition, this Grecian temple of a monument continues to enchant and enhance the city. The original plaster, which made up the bulk of the monuments exterior, has been gradually replaced with funds raised by bond measures and the donations from the Marinas well-heeled residents who were loath to lose such a graceful part of their landscape. Swans in the adjoining lagoon glide by the soaring ochre-tinted colonnades and the imposing dome ringed with panels of centaurs and warriors engaged in battle over nubile maidens. Those column-top statues of sorrowing maidens turned away from prying eyes are using their tears to water the long-gone oaks that originally stood in the planters that they surround. Stroll inside the dome, clap your hands and marvel at the uncanny acoustics, then enjoy a picnic lunch on one of the park benches scattered to provide an unparalleled view of this gem."

The cars looked American, the architecture and landscape looked San Franciscoish, combined with a temple-like building and my rad google skillz... smiley

I found a couple pics of what I thought was the same building, but none that really confirmed it, so I fired up Google Maps Streetview to confirm (and impress smiley)

Anyway, let me know if y'all are gonna need some hints on my question.

Ever since I first saw the picture it reminds me of Roskilde Festival...but still a bit stumped on any football match there.

Correct, the date and time is embedded in the picture, so no guesswork is needed smiley

Btw, I found a picture that illustrates the answer to my previous picture question; the triangle puzzle. From this picture it should be obvious where that 'hole' came from.
