Its the ring that Aragorn wears in Lord of the Rings.
It is the ring that Finrod gave to Barahir to seal both, their friendship and the alliance between men and elves. It was cast in Valinor by the Noldor during the First Era for the Finarfin's House. It was gifted at last by Elrond to Aragorn together with the shards of Narsil, after that the ring belonged to Isildur and his stock.

Allrighty then.

What and where?

Clue I: It's very old.

Clue II: The restoration of this place was the pet project of a deceased head of state.

Clue III: In a more recent Military Action (or War), this ancient site has received severe and intentional damage, and can probably never again receive the archeological attention it otherwise deserves.

Clue IV: This City has twice been the largest city in the world, both times for a period of about 100 years.

Clue V: These Divine Gates are said to be first founded almost 4.000 years ago.

Clue VI: This City was once home to one of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World.

Clue VII: In an Ancient Religious Text, This place was the scene of a Great Confusion in Human History.

Clue VIII: The Name of this City, is said to be an "Echo" of the name of an other city, further to its East.

Clue IX: Alexander the Great made two stop-overs in this City.

Clue X: The remaining site of this City, covers an area roughly 2 kilometers by 1 kilometer, oriented north to south.

Tip I: If you edit your post it doesn't show up in the Recent Activity box, nor does it bump the thread's position in the Forum box. This means no one knows you posted anything new. Make a new post instead.

For the first 3-4 days, it was at the top of the list, and was even at the top of the "new posts" list as well.

Yes, but we had already seen your post, so why bother looking at it again?

How can you know I haven't posted anything new, unless you look at it?

Why do you suffer from a condition where you feel the urge to identify males as females and fantasize about inflicting violence upon them?smiley
