Battle of Hastings. The exact coordinates point to the Battle Abbey, which was built, supposably, on the spot where King Harold fell.

You are correct. It is said, that the altar in the Abbey stands on the very spot where King Harold died, built as a pennance by William the Conqueror for the death of Harold.

Three-part question:

1. What are these?
2. Where are they now?
3. Name their three peers.

I'm not completely sure about the third one, but here's my shot.

1:The white rose is the White Rose of York and the red rose is the Red Rose of Lancaster. These where the "symbols" of the two sides of the English Wars of the Roses.

2: When Henry Tudor (Henry VI) took the Crown of England from Richard III, thus ending the Wars of the Roses, he combined the two symbols into one new symbol, that was named the Tudor Rose. This symbol is still a part of the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom.

3:The three peers of the Tudor Rose may be the Thistle of Scotland, the Shamrock of Ireland and the Leek of Wales. (Dunno if this is what you meant by "peers" ).

All three are correct. I had to ask somewhat enigmatically as to not reveal too much.

Question: Who is this a statue of, and where is it?

Clue 1: It has a funny nickname.

Clue 2: It's a statue of a famous author.

Clue 3: This statue was erected by the inhabitants of the town it is in, as a retaliation to a piece written by this author about said town.

Clue 4: He died at age 44.

Anton Chekhov, in Tomsk.

Pretty hard question to google, I'm guessing since it's a Russian author.

Can't find the exact picture, but I'm fairly certain that it's the Concorde. The window placement and the shape of the control handles give it away...

This game is considered the first of a genre, and this screen shot is from it's wikipedia page.

It is Ultima Online.

It was one of the first MMORPG of modern graphical design.

This should be childsplay.

Clue: They are all military airplanes.

Clue 4: 2 of these aircraft are in current service by the Swiss air force, with the third being retired, but still retained as a trainer/target aircraft.
