Cool question, Lamech.
The wiki article was very interesting - including the debate as to whether he was a terrible tactician.

New question.

Who is this guy?
He is a politician/statesman. The pictures are from 1965 and 2004.

This is the 2004 photo.

I have no idea how the chewing gum relates, but it is Lee Kuan Yew, first prime minister of Singapore.

Question: From what country does this currency note come from?

hint #1: I broke the essential thing, first time I assembled it, so it only was working at half power!

The loudspeaker on the right goes bip-bip-bip, then biiiip-biiip-biiiip, then bp-bp-bp-bp-bp-bp-bp-bp-bp-biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip.

The loudspeaker on the right is not the most essential part of this creation.
The coil-shape is the essential part.

The apparatus' main apllication would be in airports and warzones.

Though some people would use it to make their own fortune on the beaches.

@ jogvanth - Chewing gum was another clue to Singapore.
It is a pretty famous fact that Lee Kuan Yew banned chewing gum - something that was and still is considered pretty extreme by many people. It was part of the policy of keeping Singapore clean and tidy along with hefty fines for littering.

Question:

What movie?

It was nominated for 4 Academy awards, but won 10 other awards along with 4 nominations.

It features the same actor in more than one role.

So far I have found out that it's not The Great Dictator, The man in the Iron Mask, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Back to the Future Part II and III, any of the Austin Powers movies or Forrest Gump

Why would I want to end every post the same way?
