They won the 2008 World Curling Championship

Somebody post a question I don't have a computer right now.

Why would I want to end every post the same way?

Looks very much like Lech Walesa, but can't find a picture that matches.

This is not Lech Walesa.

How does Nick Nolte work as a hint for Lech Walesa anyhow?

The picture above is from his wikipedia entry.

Didn't Nick Nolte play some role where he was a South African. Was that Lorenzo's Oil?

Ah now I know, I remember I saw him on Hard Talk. It was the UN soldier Nick Nolte played in Hotel Rwanda. Imdb lists it as Colnel Oliver, that isn't much help smiley

You are spot on Yutani.

It is in fact Lieutenant-General (Ret.) Romí©o Alain Dallaire who is the real-life person, being depicted as Colonel Oliver in the movie Hotel Rwanda.

Correct you are. LTG Dallaire is a very interesting person, and I recommend everyone to read a bit about him.

Oscar Wilde

This is going to be a hard one...

In the picture attached, what is the name of the small owl; just barely noticeable beside the subject of the drawing.

(Sorry for the poor quality of the image. This is the best quality I found on the web.)

Hint #1: Neither the artist nor the owl are particularly well known, however, I am sure most of us know of the girl in the drawing.

Hint #2: If the girl were a sorceress and the owl her familiar, it would likely give some bonus to healing spells.

Hint #3: Some would say there are two birds in the drawing.
