The answer for the riddle is indeed heat, pressure and light.

I'm sorry, that's just wrong. You'll have the hardest time explaining why most of the parts of the riddle fit any of those answers, and they'll be stretching the limits of reasonableness and believability.

And you claim that most kids come up with the answer pretty fast?! You've got to be kidding me! smiley

I don't like your tone, young man. The problem that you cannot view the world in small pieces instead of one whole chink is not my problem.
However, I can try to explain this to you like I would to a 4-year-old:
I am looking for the solution of this riddle:

I turn polar bears white (heat, as in snow)
and I will make you cry. (pressure, as in lost love)
I make guys have to pee (pressure, as in 'I need to use the bathroom' )
and girls comb their hair. (again pressure, I need to look good)
I make celebrities look stupid (pressure or heat, Britney Spears or a scalding)
and normal people look like celebrities. (light, as in modelling)
I turn pancakes brown (heat, as in cooking)
and make your champane bubble. (pressure, cork going off)
If you sqeeze me, I'll pop. (pressure, push the bottle)
If you look at me, you'll pop. (light, staring at the sun or a bright light)

I will stop the solution-explanation here, I don't see other people explaining why a ford mustang was the most popular model... it just was. Let's just leave it at that.

The correct way to address me would be Commander Vuzman.

And I still think (more than ever, actually) that your "solution" to this "riddle" is inordinately far-fetched.

I turn polar bears white (heat, as in snow) -- More like evolution. And I think camouflage has a lot to do with the color...
and I will make you cry. (pressure, as in lost love) -- I'll give you this, although 'lost love' is a bad example
I make celebrities look stupid (pressure or heat, Britney Spears or a scalding) -- Horrible scalding accidents makes celebrities look stupid? You should have just stuck with Britney...
and make your champane bubble. (pressure, cork going off) -- While you might argue that the bubbles cause pressure, it certainly isn't the other way round.
If you sqeeze me, I'll pop. (pressure, push the bottle) -- If you squeeze pressure, pressure will pop... This is starting to become quite a stretch. You can squeeze a bottle and it pops? Is it pressure that pops or is it the bottle?! And you are the bottle? There is no bottle. Bottle Bottle must die!
If you look at me, you'll pop. (light, staring at the sun or a bright light) -- I'll pop by staring at the sun? I might damage my eyes or go blind, but in what universe can that be called to "pop"?

Kids are bad at guessing concepts like "pressure". Also, in order to guess that the solution is three-pronged you'd have to think abstractly, and . Kids aren't good at that, and even people in general aren't very good at it.

I still say your solution is wrong and far-fetched, and I'd like to know if you have an authoritative source for it (i.e. other than some random forum post)??

Ok, now let's all wait for Grizlas to pop by and scream "anal". He really likes that word.

Hint 1: Ok, I'm not sure what search term I used when I got that picture, but this is the 3rd picture on the first page of Google Images search results when I search for the guy's name (I boxed out a guy that might be giving it away).

Hint 2: His band is more famous than he is.

Yes, I have SafeSearch on (@work), so that's probably the cause of the discrepancy. Actually without SafeSearch it's the fifth result for me, and all SafeSearch seems to do is reorder the pictures. Weird.

Then / Than

People often confuse these two common words, but in no sense are they interchangeable. Than is a conjunction used in comparisons: “Better late than never.” “I would rather be happy than rich.” “Blood is thicker than water.” “He is taller than I am.” Then is an adverb pertaining to time: “We said goodbye, and then we went home.” “The way we lived then is quite different from the way we live now.” “Finish your supper; then you can watch TV.”

You want to tempt the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing?
